Returns & Exchanges

We believe shopping secondhand should feel just as easy and trustworthy as shopping retail.

The Tried Equestrian gladly accepts returns within 14 days of delivery. Saddles are eligible for return within 5 days of delivery.

To start a return, please visit our Returns Portal.

All returned items must arrive back in the same condition received with original tags attached.

Items returned outside the eligible return window, without original tags, or showing signs of wear, damage, laundering, or excessive use may not qualify for a refund. In some cases, items may be eligible for reconsignment instead. For reconsignment inquiries, please contact mckenna@triedequestrian.com.


Return Options 

You have the option for a return to the original payment method, exchange or store credit. Exchanges and store credit receive a 5% bonus. Please note, original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our end or an item arrives not as described.

Refund to Original Payment Method

Eligible returns may be refunded back to the original payment method used at checkout.

Store Credit (receive 5% bonus)

Customers may choose store credit instead of a refund and receive an additional 5% bonus added to their store credit amount.

Store credit is issued as a digital gift card and can be used immediately once the return is approved through the Returns Portal.

Exchange (receive 5% bonus)

Customers may exchange eligible items for another product available on our website.

If the new item is higher in price, an invoice for the difference will be emailed. If the new item is lower in price, the remaining balance will be issued as store credit.

Item Issues

If your item arrived differently than expected, please submit a request through our Returns Portal and our team will work to make it right.


Return Shipping

At checkout, customers have the option to purchase Return Protection for $2.98.

Customers who purchase Return Protection will receive a prepaid return shipping label at no additional cost if a return is needed.

Customers who choose not to purchase Return Protection may still return eligible items within the return window, but will be responsible for purchasing the return shipping label through our Returns Portal.

Return Protection is non-refundable once an order has been placed.


Processing Times

Returns are typically processed within 5–7 business days after arrival at our facility.

Refunds

Once processed, refunds may take 3–7 business days to appear on the original payment method depending on your financial institution.

Store Credit

Store credit is typically issued immediately once the return is approved through the Returns Portal.

Exchanges

Exchange orders will ship once the original return has been received and any remaining balance has been paid
